  • Wednesday: We’ll get the latest inflation readings starting with the Consumer Price Index (CPI). The CPI is projected to have risen 0.4% last month, which would mark the fastest monthly increase since January.

  • Thursday: The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) will issue the Producer Price Index (PPI), tracking inflation from the standpoint of manufacturers and wholesalers. Producer prices likely rose 0.4% last month, accelerating from July’s 0.3% rate.
