๐Ÿ“ฐ Market Headlines

Markets whipsawed violently as President Trump's tariff policies continued to roil global markets.

  • The S&P 500 has been down 6% since his April 2 announcement, and the Dow by 5%.

  • The 10-year Treasury yield surged above 4.5% as investors dumped US assets.

China's Commerce Ministry urged President Trump to "completely abolish" the 145% reciprocal tariffs.

Late Friday, the White House exempted tech products, including smartphones, computers, and semiconductors, from the reciprocal tariffs. Later on, the White House came out saying that this exemption may not be permanent, which created a bit more confusion.

๐ŸŒ Alternative investing news

Regardless of how you feel about the tariffs, it's undeniable that the world has changed forever.

How can you still generate a strong return in a choppy market?

There are two ways to approach an increasingly uncertain macro climate:

  1. Go completely risk off, fleeing to the safest thing possible, or

  2. Realize risk is rising everywhere, so you may as well hunt higher returns

We will continue to share more alternative investments, including non-US opportunities, to give you more options to consider when allocating your portfolio in this new world.
